Mitigation von Risiken durch kooperative Projektabwicklung. Lösungsansätze zur Vermeidung unerwarteter Kostensteigerungen im Hochbau

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

This thesis examines the occurrence of unexpected cost overruns in the implementation of large construction projects. It taking into account the particularities of the construction industry and on the basis of exemplary projects. Through a critical review of the scientific literature on the subject, it has been possible to establish that this is a widespread problem. This thesis deals with how the risks of unexpected cost overruns in construction projects can be mitigated with the help of cooperation models and methods. This is achieved by closing the gap between the current state of research and concrete recommendations for actions. The investigation takes place in the context of an explanative work which produces an application-scientific result with the help of qualitative investigations. The object of investigation will be investigated empirically by using field studies. The primary analysis is carried out within the framework of a non-experimental design, simple and for the individual case. The research project comprises the development of a maturity model, which considers the special requirements of the construction industry. In order to obtain a holistic view of the topic, the results are validated in a unique iteration by expert interviews. The work shows that there is a pronounced interest in the application of cooperative models of cooperation. It also becomes clear that the current framework for this is not on the same page for both formal and practical reasons. This becomes particularly clear in the strong deviation of target and actual values of the interviewed experts. Although there has been an increase in publications on the subject of partnering since 1989 to 2007, the application competence is still only moderately mature. For this reason, topics such as trust, feasibility, advantages and incentives are increasingly in the focus of the scientific literature after 2007. This work fits into this trend by contributing to the application of partnering in practice.
