Therefore, teachers are bound to meet children with such a profile in their class. This study intends to identify whether such children require an adapted programme in Physical Education due to their condition. The study entails an in depth discussion on dyslexia with special reference to human movement. Published research concerning both dyslexia and the acquisition of motor skills is reviewed in order to investigate their connection, whilst exploring any effects one might have upon the other. In order to probe further in this issue the study includes tests, regarding fine and gross motor skills administered to two participants with dyslexia and their matched control group, to verify whether there is a difference in motor proficiency between the two. The outcome of the observed results is discussed and subsequently an intervention programme proposed. The analyses of the results indicate that the intervention programme was effective.
