Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe aim of this study was to investigate the nature and the degree of incidence of private tuition among state and private church post secondary schools during their first year of the course during the 1995-96 scholastic year. Inorder to accomplish this data was collected through a questionnaire which was distributed to 791 students of which 685 were governmental and 106 students were private church. Results indicate that 19 .4 % claim to have attended to private tuition during their first year of the course. Furthermore the main reason given (59%) for going to private tuition· was examinations.
