Probes in gaseous plasmas

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

From the time of Langmuir measurements of the current-potential characteristic of a small electrode probe immersed in a partially ionised gas have been used for the quantitative study of plasmas. The plasma parameters of interest are electron and ion temperature, electron and ion concentration, and plasma potential.
