The subjects were ten male students enrolled at Loma Linda University, La Sierra Campus in Riverside, California. The subjects exercised to their maximal heart rate while being tested on the treadmill. A pre-test was given to match the subjects equally into the control and experimental groups. The experimental group took garlic oil capsules for four weeks. After two weeks the groups were given an intermediate test and at the end of four weeks a post-test was given.</p> <p>The data indicated that the experimental group improved in time on the treadmill from pre-test to post-test.
