The absolute frequency of this transition was measured with an uncertainty of 1,8*10^(-13). Dabei konnte eine Kühlung nahezu in den Grundzustand des Fallenpotentials sowohl für Einzelionen als auch für 2-Ionen Coulomb Kristalle demonstriert werden. In der hochauflösenden Spektroskopie konnte der schmalbandige Uhrenübergang des Indium-Ions mit einer Auflösung von 1,3*10^(-13) gemessen werden. Die Absolutfrequenz dieses Überganges konnte mit einer Genauigkeit von 1,8*10^(-13) bestimmt werden.
