Franz Josef, township of Waiho Gorge : an alternative extension proposal

Abstract

dc:description

This study attempts to draw attention to landscape characteristics important in development, and specific to the Franz Josef region. The landscape study involves a survey of the existing village with regard to its regional context. This is undertaken in order to identify characteristic features. Given that future growth has already been planned for, an alternative plan more sympathetic to the environment is proposed. The study concludes with a proposal for the Thompson Memorial Community Centre’s development.
