Desarrollo profesional en el rubro de la ciberseguridad

The purpose of this research work is to demonstrate the technical, soft and ethical knowledge essential for the development of professionals in the Cybersecurity sector, an area that is almost imperceptible in many curricula that train systems engineers; For this reason, this study analyzes the particular experience of an expert with more than 5 years in the field, starting from the description of the technical capacity, that is, from the presentation of the theoretical and practical knowledge that the expert acquired to function in the various projects undertaken; However, for the effectiveness of the cybersecurity professional's practices it was necessary to obtain management skills such as leadership, assertiveness, self-confidence, etc., as will be seen in section number 2, these skills were acquired over the years of work experience. and they went hand in hand with the personal and individual growth of the expert, as well as the constant learning that led him to seek certifications, master's degrees, courses, etc., that covered the topics in which he developed and developed. Finally, the conglomerate of all these aspects and personal experiences of the Cybersecurity professional made him aware and coherent of the ethical principles that govern his practice and the impact that his errors can cause to companies and to himself; Therefore, he had to learn to be cautious with the information he shares and to use critical thinking to deliberate the most appropriate solutions to the challenges that were presented to him. Thus, in the present study there is evidence of various situations in which the systems engineering expert used his different resources for the solution of various problems that have arisen throughout his professional growth.
