The result indicates the evidence that psychological processes are related to better reading comprehension performance in people with visual disabilities; however, there is no comprehensive view of the psychological processes for the development of reading. El objetivo de la revisión sistemática fue identificar la relación de las funciones psicológicas en el proceso de la comprensión lectora en braille en personas con discapacidad visual. La recopilación de estudio se efectuó en función de la guía PRISMA (Page et al., 2021) ubicado en las bases de datos EBSCO, SCOPUS y PUBMED; donde se recopiló 10 investigaciones, luego de excluir ciertos criterios preestablecidos. El resultado indica la evidencia de que los procesos psicológicos si están relacionados con mejores desempeños de comprensión lectora en personas con discapacidad visual; sin embargo, no hay una visión integral de los procesos psicológicos para el desarrollo de la lectura.
