Estudio para la adecuación del manual de Buenas Prácticas de Manufactura (BPM) en la empresa Industrial Peruana Holandesa S.A.C.

The main objective of the following professional project is the adequation of the Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.) in the company Industrial Peruana Holandesa S.A.C. for its line of products ‘Alfajores Tinkay’ in their chocolate and vanilla flavors according to the new quality requirements set by their main clients and new national legislation in order to avoid losing 44,6% of the income driven by these customers. This risk exists in case the company doesn’t conform to the increased quality standards required by the customers comprised in the Pareto curve of income. These quality standards are controlled by periodic inspections and minimum grading requirements. In order to achieve the objective, the manual for G.M.P. was thoroughly reviewed and improved according to current national legislation and specific criterion by the cited top tier customers. Also, the manufacturing procedures were improved based on improved know-how and the former requirements. These changes were validated by means of microbiological analysis in accordance with national requirements obtaining validatory results in all cases. Changes were implemented and all personnel underwent training on the new procedures. Registry of this process was duly recorded. The process also served as an incentive to implement in the production process the use of newly acquired technology. The Enterprise Resource Planning (E.R.P.) software and Content Management System (C.M.S.) were used for procedure creation, formats and registry. These allow for agile modifications, automatization of scheduling and registry and responsibility delegation and tracing. Finally, the success of the endeavor was confirmed after obtaining a 98% grading and an ‘Excellent’ qualification on the next Pareto client inspection thus securing 44,6% of the company’s income.
