Abstract

Physicists use particle accelerators to probe the fundamental structure of matter by colliding particles at energies sufficient to resolve sub-nuclear degrees of freedom. The resulting final states provide insight into the underlying dynamics of nature, enabling the discovery of new particles, the validation of theoretical frameworks, and the development of advanced technologies.
