Abstract
dc:description.abstractA Time and Place Abstract My curiosity for the natural world and my surroundings has fueled my creative work for years. I have invented tools to allow me to investigate and examine plants that I come into contact with in my environment. Recently, these instruments facilitating my curiosity have begun to pique the curiosity of others. I employ curiosity to direct the viewer's attention toward the unknown and unfamiliar. The reproductive cycle of plants, the structures that house their seeds, the manner in which the plant disperses these seeds, and the very shape of the seeds have all been focal points of examination. My desire to have a family and the curiosity concerning my own reproductive cycle has been a driving force behind my research. It is hoped that the viewer will come away with a heightened curiosity for their natural surroundings and an eagerness to explore, A Time and Place, and the world beyond.
