The Recovery School District (RSD) has oversight for the majority of these schools. To explore charges from community advocates that RSD charter schools restricted admission and provided inadequate services for students with disabilities the following questions were asked: 1. How were students with disabilities selected for admission in charter and traditional schools in New Orleans? 2. How were the services for students with disabilities the same or different in charter and traditional schools? 3. What were the perceptions and opinions of parents, teachers and administrators concerning charter and traditional schools' treatment of students with disabilities? A Case Study research design was utilized which included both traditional and charter RSD schools. Data were gathered through examination of documents and stakeholder interviews.
