It specifically examines evidence of student engagement and the attainment gap in Topeka High School. An examination of relevant academic literature, an examination of yearbooks, interviews with alumni, and an evaluation of school demographic and graduation rate records were methods used to identify trends in student engagement and persistence to graduation at Topeka High School.
