Even though social media platforms have started to update their rules regarding content and engagement expectations, harmful ideologies such as misogyny continue to flourish in posts, threads, and comment sections. Therefore, it is both important to know how to recognize when ideologies such as misogyny are causing harm online while also being able to understand certain ways that people could respond to online misogynistic harassment.
