<p>Nancy Tompkins' Master of Arts in Professional Writing capstone uses grant proposal writing as a practical application of her Rhetoric and Composition concentrated degree.</p> <p>Grant proposal writing is essentially practical persuasion in practice because it requires that the writer convince an organization that a non-profit is performing services that are necessary to the community, the funding provided will go to developing the program(s), and the organization submitting the proposal has the knowledge and experience to complete the project proposed.</p>
