Architecture and the hypermachine: The "augmented" studio in architectural education
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis attempts to evaluate the "augmented" studio and its possible role in architectural education in near future. The core of this thesis concentrates on the implications of the ADS on critical design issues which need to be addressed in order to study the possibilities of a revised pedagogy (if necessary) for the Design Center. The work studies the implications of the ADS on design education, needs, the design-machine interface, and most importantly, the design process.
