Epoxy coating systems: Probing negative thermal expansion with zinc cyanide
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe purpose of this document is two-fold. First, as a formal written submission of the work completed for my degree, but secondly, as a useful reference for myself as I continue to work in the line of composite materials and any others who venture into this area. As such, Chapter 1 gives the motivation for pursuing this work; Chapter 2 ties together literature and fundamentals to give a background on all relevant concepts as well as recent work in the area; Chapter 3 is the current work that has been studied on zinc cyanide epoxy composites, and Chapter 4 outlines future directions that are worthy of pursuit or may already be under investigation.
