Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe study discusses health related tourism services and access of tourists with disabilities to them. The access as a concept includes the access to information, services and opportunities for people with special needs to travel. To evaluate these areas, the stakeholders that deal with the issues of this particular group and their traveling, were approached. It is suggested that health-related and medical tourism should take a leading role in making it possible, that access for the disabled to travelling is more favourable. Until now this area has been neglected by stakeholders in the tourism industry, but there are opportunities to be explored. It seems that expertise which exists within the health and medical tourism can be employed to facilitate access for the disabled to traveling while opening new avenues for the tourism industry in this market of tourists. Conclusions have been drawn from the responses of selected interviewees in this qualitative research. Seven persons were interviewed and those interview gave informations to the conclutions. The crux of the research is that access should be for everyone, always and everywhere.
