This thesis includes excerpts from a novel in progress with the working title of Warlock & the Bully. It is a work of genre fiction, a self-aware Dark Academia Horror novel that has some comedic elements and is intended for adult or new adult readers. Warlock & the Bully navigates themes of homophobia, sexism, toxic masculinity and how society has changed and not changed since the late 1990’s with relation to the queer experience.
