Some Assembly Required is a body of artwork that is made up of twenty-five ceramic sculptures that are inspired by mechanical equipment. Each sculpture is handmade but is refined to a high level to appear massed produced. The sculptures are glazed in two different methods to mimic everyday plastics and precious metals.The glazes are used to heighten the viewer’s interest and desire for the objects, allowing the art to become highly consumable.
