Non-Hostile Casualties in These Kinds of Wars from the Korean War to Operation Iraqi Freedom
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis provides a detailed study of the non-hostile deaths of the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Operation Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. This document examines the causes of the non-hostile deaths, from illnesses, accidents, friendly fire, and other injuries, as well as the trends in each war and the impact that these casualties exerted at the time they happened. In addition, this thesis explores the lessons the Armed Forces leaders applied between the wars in an effort to reduce non-hostile losses for the next war.
