ΕΠΙΔΡΑΣΗ ΤΗΣ ΜΟΡΦΗΣ ΘΕΤΙΚΗΣ ΚΡΟΥΣΤΙΚΗΣ ΤΑΣΗΣ ΚΑΙ ΤΩΝ ΠΑΡΑΜΕΤΡΩΝ ΤΟΥ ΔΙΑΚΕΝΟΥ ΣΤΗΝ ΕΞΕΛΙΞΗ ΤΗΣ ΔΙΑΣΠΑΣΗΣ ΣΕ ΜΙΚΡΑ ΔΙΑΚΕΝΑ ΑΕΡΑ
Abstract
dc:descriptionTHE INFLUENCE OF THE IMPULSE FORM AND PARAMETERS ON THE BREAKDOWN VOLTAGE OF ROD-PLANE AIR-GAPS BETWEEN ONE AND FIFTY FIVE CENTIMETERS WAS INVESTIGATED A 12 MM CYLINDRICAL ROD WITH THE FOLLOWING TERMINATION: - 30 DEGREE CONE, - HEMISPHERE, - SQUARE-CUT AND IMPULSE VOLTAGES OF THE FOLLOWING FORMS: 1/36 MS, 2/36 MS, 1/280 MS, 2/280 MS, 15/280 MS, 20/280 MS, 60/350 MS, 1/1800MS, 2/1800 MS, 15/1800 MS, 20/1800 MS, 60/1800 MS, 120/1800 MS, 180/1800 MS, WERE USED. THE MAIN CONCLUSIONS OBTAINED ARE THE FOLLOWING: - A DEPENDENCE OF THE AMPLITUDE OF THE IMPULSE BREAKDOWN VOLTAGE FROM THE FRONT OF THE IMPULSE IS OBSERVED FOR SPECIFIC LENGTHS OF THE GAP. - FOR THE SAME FRONT OF THE IMPULSE, THE TAIL ALSO AFFECTS THE AMPLITUDE OF THE BREAKDOWN VOLTAGE. - IN ADDITION TO THE AMPLITUDE, THE FORM OF THE IMPULSE AND THE GEOMETRICAL PARAMETERS OF THE GAP, HAVE A CONSIDERABLEEFFECT ON THE STANDARD DEVIATION OF THE BREAKDOWN VOLTAGE. - FOR SPECIFIC COMBINATIONS OF IMPULSE SHAPE AND GAP PARAMETERS THE BREAKDOWN PROBABILITY DISTRIBUTION DEVIATES FROM THE NORMAL AND FOLLOWS THE WELL KNOWN INVERTED-S. - FOR GAPSLONGER THAN 30 CM THE MEAN BREAKDOWN GRADIENT IS AROUND 5 KV/CM WHILE FOR SHORTER GAPS MAY BECOME SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER.
