A GREAT NUMBER OF SPECIES ARE RARE OR LITTLE KNOWN SPECIES REPORTED ONLY ONCE OR TWICE BEFORE. ONE SPECIES IS REFERRED FOR THE FIRST TIME FROM THE MEDITERRANEAN. A NEW SPECIES OF BRYOZOA IS ALSO DESCRIBED. THE STUDY OF THE ECOLOGY INCLUDES: A) THE DISTRIBUTION OF SPECIES BETWEEN DIFFERENT SUBSTRATA. B) QUANTITATIVE STUDY OF THE BRYOZOAN FAUNA ON POSIDONIA OCEANIA LEAVES. C) THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE COLONY TYPES BETWEEN DIFFERENT SUBSTRATA. A BATHYMETRIC DISTRIBUTION OF THE SPECIES AND THE COLONY TYPES WAS ALSO CARRIED OUT. THE ZOOGEOGRAPHICAL STUDY INDICATED A PREDOMINANCE OF ENDEMIC SPECIES .
