ΣΥΝΘΕΣΗ ΔΙΘΕΙΟΛΕΝΙΚΩΝ ΣΥΜΠΛΟΚΩΝ ΤΟΥ ΒΟΛΦΡΑΜΙΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΜΟΛΥΒΔΑΙΝΙΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΜΕΛΕΤΗ ΤΗΣ ΦΩΤΟΚΑΤΑΛΥΤΙΚΗΣ ΚΑΙ ΚΑΤΑΛΥΤΙΚΗΣ ΔΡΑΣΗΣ ΤΟΥ ΣΥΜΠΛΟΚΟΥ ΤΡΙΣ-11-(4-ΜΕΘΟΞΥΦΑΙΝΥΛΟ)-2-ΦΑΙΝΥΛΟ-1,2-ΑΙΘΥΛΕΝΟΔΙΘΕΙΟΛΕΝΙΚΟΥ - S,S '1 ΒΟΛΦΡΑΜΙΟΥ
Abstract
dc:descriptionFIVE NEW DITHIOLENE COMPLEXES OF TUNGSTEN AND MOLYBDENUM WERE SYNTHESIZED AND CHARACTERIZED BY PHYSICOCHEMICAL METHODS. THEIR ELECTRONIC SPECTRA SHOWED VERY INTENSIVE ABSORPTION BANDS IN THE VISIBLE REGION. THE PHOTOCATALYTIC AND CATALYTIC BEHAVIOUR OF THE COMPLEXE TRIS-(-1-M-METHOXYPHENYLO-)2-PHENYLO-1.2-ETHENODITHIOL TUNGSTEN WERE STUDIED. THIS COMPLEX IS THE FIRST PHOTOSENSITIZER, SO FAR THAT ACTS ALSO AS A CATALYST FOR THE HYDROGEN AND OXYGEN PRODUCTS. SO, UNDER ILLUMINATION WITH VISIBLE LIGHT, IN THE PRESENCE OF MV2+, IN ACETONE: WATER THE COMPLEX IS REDUCED TO ITS MENANION WHILE MV2+ IS REDUCED TO MV+. MEANW HYDROGEN AND OXYGEN ARE FORMED. (THESE WERE FROM WATER). THERMALLY, THE COMPLEX IS REDUCED TO ITS MONOANION WITH MV+ AND THE MENOANION CATALYZES THE FORMATION OF DIHYDROGEN FROM THE EXCESS OF THE FREE RADICAL AND THE WATER OF THE MIXED SOLVENT. THE RATE OF THE REACTION IS STUDIED AND THE MECHANISM OF THIS IS PROPOSED.
