THEIR EFFECT IN THE MICROBIAL POPULATION OF THE SOIL (ESPECIALLY IN THE CLASS OF RHIZOBIA, WHICH ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BIOLOGICAL NITROGEN FIXATION IN LEGUMES) HAS ALSO BEEN STUDIED MAINLY IN TERMS OF TOXICITY.
