ΗΛΕΚΤΡΟΛΥΤΙΚΗ ΑΠΟΘΕΣΗ ΝΙΚΕΛΙΟΥ ΜΕ ΧΡΗΣΗ ΠΑΛΜΙΚΟΥ ΡΕΥΜΑΤΟΣ ΜΕΤΑΒΑΛΛΟΜΕΝΗΣ ΦΟΡΑΣ
Abstract
dc:descriptionIT WAS STUDIED THE INTERVENTION OF PULSE REVERSED CURRENT (P.R.C .) PARAMETERS ON THE NICKEL ELECTROCRYSTALLIZATION AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON THE CRYSTALLITES TEXTURE, THE SURFACE MORPHOLOGY, THE STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS AND THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES (HARDNESS-ROUGHNESS) OF THE NICKEL ELECTRODEPOSITS. THE BEST PREPARATION CONDITIONS OF SMOOTH AND HARD NICKEL ELECTRODEPOSITS OF DEFINED CRYSTAL STRUCTURE WERE DETERMINED AS WELL. THE NICKEL ELECTRODEPOSITION WAS REALISED FROM A WATTS TYPE BATH ON A ROTATED CATHODE, THE CRYSTALLITES TEXTURE WAS DETERMINED BY THE X -RAY DIFFRACTION METHOD AND THE STUDY OF THE SURFACE MORPHOLOGY AND THE STRUCTURE OF THE DEPOSITS BY THE TECHNIQUES OF SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPY (S.E.M.) AND OF TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPY (T.E.M.). THE HARDNESS OF THE DEPOSITS WAS DETERMINED BY THE VICKERS METHOD AND THAT OF THE ROUGHNESS BY THE RA VALUES. IT WAS PROVED THAT THE INTERVENTION OF REVERSED CURRENT TECHNIQUEON THE NICKEL ELECTRODEPOSITION MECHANISM PROVOKES THE RADICAL CHANGE OF BOTH THE DEPOSITS STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES. THIS INTERVENTION WAS ASCRIBED TO THE ELECTROCHEMICAL ACTIONS, WHICH TAKE PLACE IN THE CATHODE- ELECTROLYTE INTERFACE (CATOLYTE) DURING THE DEPOSITION AS WELL AS THE DISSOLUTION TIME. THE P.R.C. TECHNIQUE AFFECTS THE NICKEL ELECTROCRYSTALLIZATION PROCESS WITH A MECHANISM ANALOGOUS TO THE ACTION OF ORGANIC ADDITIVES UNDER DIRECT CURRENT CONDITIONS. IN THIS WAY, P.R.C. TECHNIQUE REINFORCES THE SELECTIVE PERTURBATION PHENOMENA OF THE CRYSTAL GROWTH AND PERMITS THE PREPARATION OF SMOOTH AND HARD DEPOSITS IN THE ABSENCE OF ORGANIC ADDITIVES.
