ΜΕΛΕΤΗ ΤΩΝ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΕΙΑΚΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΔΙΕΠΙΦΑΝΕΙΑΚΩΝ ΙΔΙΟΤΗΤΩΝ ΤΗΣ ΣΤΑΘΕΡΟΠΟΙΗΜΕΝΗΣ ΖΙΡΚΟΝΙΑΣ ΚΑΙ ΣΥΣΤΗΜΑΤΩΝ ΖΙΡΚΟΝΙΑΣ ΣΕ ΕΠΑΦΗ ΜΕ ΡΕΥΣΤΑ ΜΕΤΑΛΛΑ
Abstract
dc:descriptionUSING THE MULTIPHASE EQUILIBRATION TECHNIQUE FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF CONTACT ANGLES, THE SURFACE AND GRAIN-BOUNDARY ENERGIES OF POLYCRYSTALLINE CUBIC ZRO2 IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE OF 1173 TO 152 B.K. WERE DETERMINED. THE TEMPERATURE COEFFICIENTS OF THE LINEAR TEMPERATURE FUNCTION OBTAINED, ARE EXPRESSED AS DΓSV/DT=-0431X10- 3 Z.M-2 K-1 AND DΓSS/DT=-392X10-3 Z.M-2 K-D. THE DT "SESSILE DROP EXPERIMENT" WAS USED IN ORDER TO STUDY THE WETTING OF THE ZO2/IN, SU, BI, PB, AG, CU, NI, CO SYSTEMS. THE RESULTS INDICATED THAT THE LIQUID METALS DO NOT WET THEZRO2(U>90 ). THE INTERFACIAL ENERGIES IN ALL THE INVESTIGATED SYSTEMS VARY IN A RESTRICTED REGION ABOUT THE MELTING POINT OF THE METALS. THE MEAN VALUE IS GIVEN AS ΓSL=1.616 Z.M-2. SURFACE-DIFFUSION COEFFICIENTS AND ACTIVATION ENERGIES OF ZVO2 WERE CALCULATED. THE SURFACE ENERGY OF THE ZRO2 AT ROOM TEMPERATURE WASDETERMINED USING THE "VICKERS INDENTATION TECHNIQUE". THE VALUE OBTAINED IS ΓSV=3.1 Z. M-2. A NEW MODEL OF THE WORK OF ADHESION WAS PROPOSED. ACCORDING TO THIS MODEL THE MELTING OF ZRO2 BY THE METALS IN, SN, BI, PB (LOW MELTING POINT METALS) IS ESTABLISHED BY VAN DER WAULS FORCES . IN THE CASE OF THE METALS AG, CU, NI, CO, FE (HIGH MELTING POINT METALS) INTERACTIONS BETWEEN THE METAL AND THEOXYGEN IONS IN THE OXIDE TAKE PLACE.
