Εκπαιδευτική πολιτική και εκπαιδευτική μεταρρύθμιση στη μεταπολεμική Ελλάδα (1950-1974)

This study examines the official and unofficial educational policy in Greece in relation to the demand of educational reform in the period 1950-1974. The main instrument of the study is the categorization of the educational ideas expressed by three main tendencies, the conservative, the liberal, and the leftist. These tendencies are seen mainly in the frame of the constitution (1952) and especially in the constitutional term of “Greek-Christian civilization”. As the main influential episodes for the official and unofficial educational policy are seen the educational acts 1823/1951, 3971/1959, 4379/1964, 129/1967 and the reports of the two educational committees 1957-58, 1971-73. Concluding we examine briefly the educational reform of 1976-77 trying to explain the reasons for the delayed realization of an educational reform, which actually should have been completed many decades ago.
