THE RESEARCH AND STUDY WAS CONDUCTED WITH THE USE OF A SAMPLE OF 40 TORRENTS FROM ALL OVER GREECE. AT THE BEGINNING, THE FEATURES WERE CLASSIFIED TO VARIOUS CATEGORIES DEPENDING ON THEIR MORPHOLOGICAL ENTITY AND THEIR SHAPE. FOLLOWING, THERE WERE INVESTIGATED THE VARIOUS FACTORS OF THE FLAT AND MOUNTAINOUS AREA WHICH BY THEIR ACTION THEY HAVE AFFECTED THE VOLUME, THE SLOPES AND THE SHAPE OF THE DEPOSITIONAL FEATURES THROUGHOUT THE SPAN OF THEIR EVOLUTION WHICH IN SOME CASES LASTED FROM SEVERAL THOUSANDS UP TO SOME TENTHS OF THOUSAND YEARS. ALSO, IT WAS INVESTIGATED THE RELATION BETWEEN THE AREA OFTHE DEPOSITIONAL FEATURES AND THE AREA OF THE RESPECTIVE DRAINAGE BASIN.
