AS PRECIPITATION AGENTS WERE USED THREE PRIMARY ALIPHATIC AMINES SUCH AS PROPYLAMINE, OCTYLAMINE AND DODECYLAMINE. THE PREPARED SAMPLES WERE FREEZE DRIED, A PROCESS THAT HAS THE ADVANTAGE TO OBTAIN MATERIALS WITH BETTER SURFACE PROPERTIES THAN CONVENTIONAL TECHNIQUES. OUR PURPOSE WAS TO STUDY THE INFLUENCE OF AMINE AS WELL AS THAT OF THE SOLVENT, ON SURFACE PROPERTIES AND CATALYTIC ACTIVITY OF THE PREPARED SAMPLES.
