Abstract
dc:descriptionTHE LEAVES OF CISTUS INCANUS SUBSP CRETICUS (L.) HEYWOOD COLLECTED IN CRETE ANDSTUDIED IN THE FIRST PART OF THIS THESIS. FROM THE PETROLERUM ETHER EXTRACT AND ETHER EXTRACT SEVEN LABDANE -TYPE DITERPENES HAVE BENEN ISOLATED AND IDENTIFIED. THE STRUCTURES OF ALL THE COMPOUNDS WERE DETERMINED BY MS (EI), (CID), H-NMR. FROM THE 95% ALCOHOL EXTRACT WERE ISOLATED SEVEN POLYPHENOLIC SUBSTANCES. INTHE SECOND PART OF THIS THESIS WERE STUDIED THE STRUCTURE AND THE SYNTHESIS OFA NEW FLAVONOID GLYCOSIDE (QUERCETIN-3[2-0-B-D-GLUCOPYRONOSIDE 1->2 B-D- XYLOPYRANOCIDE]. THE STEREOCHEMISTRY AND THE CONFORMATION OF THE XYLOSE ARE DESCRIBED PHASE TRANSFERT CATALYSIS APPEARS TO BE A SIMPLER AND EASIER METHOD FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF FLAVONOID GLYCOSIDE. THE YIELDS OBSERVED ARE GENERALLY HIGHER THAN THOSE REPORTED BY CLASSIC METHODS.
