ΕΠΙΔΡΑΣΗ ΒΙΟΤΙΚΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΑΒΙΟΤΙΚΩΝ ΠΑΡΑΓΟΝΤΩΝ ΣΤΗ ΔΥΝΑΜΙΚΗ ΠΛΗΘΥΣΜΩΝ ΚΑΛΛΙΕΡΓΟΥΜΕΝΩΝ ΚΩΠΗΠΟΔΩΝ
Abstract
dc:descriptionTHE HARPACTICOID COPEPOD TISBE HOLOTHURIAE HUMES WAS COLLECTED FROM SARONICOS GULF (GREECE) AND CULTURED UNDER VARIOUS LABORATORY CONDITIONS, FOR SEVERAL GENERATIONS. WE HAVE STUDIED THE EFFECTS OF BIOTIC AND ABIOTIC FACTORS ON THE POPULATION DYNAMICS OF TISBE HOLOTHURIAE. WE HAVE EXAMINED THE EFFECTS OF: 1) 12 COMBINATIONS OF TEMPERATURE AND SALINITY, 2) 7 DIFFERENT FOODS, 3) 5 CONDITIONS OFPHOTOPERIOD, 4) 3 LIGHT CONDITIONS WITH DIFFERENT FLUENT RATE (BLUE-GREEN-RED), 5) THE NUMBER OF GENERATIONS CULTURED UNDER LABORATORY CONDITIONS (INBREEDINGEFFECTS). ALSO WE HAVE STUDIED THE BIOMETRY, THE CHEMICAL COMPOSITIONS AND THEOXYGEN CONSUMPTION OF THESE COPEPODS, ELEVATED UNDER DIFFERENT LABORATORY CONDITIONS. THE OBSERVATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE DETERMINATION OF POPULATION DYNAMICS ARE: 1) LARVAL DEVELOPMENT, 2) MATURATION TIME OF EGG SACS AND THE INTERVAL TIME BETWEEN THE SUCCESSIVE EGG SACS, 3) THE NUMBER OF EGG SACS PER FEMALE, 4) THENUMBER OF EGGS PER EGG SAC AND 5) THE LIFE SPAN OF FEMALES.
