Το μάθημα της λογοτεχνίας στη δευτεροβάθμια εκπαίδευση στην Αγγλία και την Ελλάδα: Συγκριτική θεώρηση

Abstract

dc:description

The study explores the place of literature in the English and Greek secondary curriculum through the comparative method of G.Z.F. Bereday. The outcome of the study consists of the following: A) As with the aims of education in all disciplines the aims of education in literature reflect certain priorities. The existing differences between the officially stated aims in each of the countries are connected to the different place of literature in each culture and to the different educational practices. B) The difference in the way literature is examined in different nations reflects ultimately the difference in the way literature is regarded both as a social phenomenon and as a secondary school subject. C) The above expected differences reflect the different emphasis placed on various aesthetic, political and educational factors. These factors, in turn, decide the place of literature in the national culture.
