ΚΑΤΑΛΥΤΙΚΑ ΚΑΙ ΗΛΕΚΤΡΟΚΑΤΑΛΥΤΙΚΑ ΦΑΙΝΟΜΕΝΑ ΣΕ ΗΛΕΚΤΡΟΧΗΜΙΚΑ ΣΤΟΙΧΕΙΑ ΣΤΕΡΕΟΥ ΗΛΕΚΤΡΟΛΥΤΗ ΥΨΗΛΗΣ ΘΕΡΜΟΚΡΑΣΙΑΣ
Abstract
dc:descriptionTHE ANODIC OXIDATION OF CH3OH WAS INVESTIGATED IN SOLID ELECTROLYTE FULL CELLS (1 BAR, 820-970K).CH3OH CAN BE SELECTIVELY OXIDATED TO H2CO WITH SELECTIVITY ONTHE ORDER OF 90% AND ELECTRICAL ENERGY CONGENERATION. IT WAS ALSO FOUND THAT THE CATALYTIC ACTIVITY AND SELECTIVITY OF AG AND PT FOR THE DEHYDROGENERATION-DECOMPOSITION AND OXIDATION OF CH3OH RESPECTIVELY, CAN BE MARKEDLY AFFECTED FROM THE ELECTROCHEMICALLY PUMPED O2 TO OR FROM THE CATALYTIC SURFACE. THESE CHANGESCAN BE ESSENTIALLY ATTRIBUTED TO THE CHANGES IN THE CATALYST WORK FUNCTION. THE MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF SOLID STATE MONOLITHIC ELECTROCHEMICAL REACTORS WAS DEVELOPED. IT WAS FOUND THAT THE EFFECTIVENESS FACTOR OF A CATALYTIC PARTICLE IN ATRICKLE BED REACTOR, CAN BE EXCHANGED BY A FACTOR OF 2 WHEN THE WETTING EFFICIENCY CHANGES FAST WITH TIME AS IT IS THE CASE IN THE PULSE- FLOW REGIME, COMPARED WITH THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PARTICLE OPERATING IN THE TRICKLE-FLOW REGIME.
