ΚΑΤΑΛΥΤΙΚΕΣ ΙΔΙΟΤΗΤΕΣ ΧΗΜΙΚΩΝ ΟΞΕΙΔΙΩΝ ΤΟΥ ΣΙΔΗΡΟΥ ΚΑΘΑΡΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΜΙΚΤΩΝ ΣΤΗ ΜΕΤΑΤΡΟΠΗ ΤΟΥ ΜΟΝΟΞΕΙΔΙΟΥ ΤΟΥ ΑΝΘΡΑΚΑ ΤΟΥ ΥΔΡΑΕΡΙΟΥ
Abstract
dc:descriptionPURE MAGNETIDE AND MIXED SPINEL FERRITES CONTAINING IN VARIOUS CONCENTRATIONS CR, CO OR NI AS A PROMOTER WERE PREPARED BY COPRECIPITATION, CALCINATION AND, WHEN NEEDED, REDUCTION X-RAY DIFFRACTION AND MOSSBAUER SPECTROSCOPY CONFIRMED THEFORMATION OF SPINEL FERRITES. THE ACTIVITIES OF THE PREPARED AND TWO INDUSTRIAL CATALYSTS WERE MEASURED IN AN ALL-GLASS FLOW-TYPE REACTOR WITH A SPACE VELOCITY OF 2.800 L/(L.H) AND REACTING GAS COMPOSITION (CO:H2:H2O=1:1:4), IN THE TEMPERATURE REGION 350-410 C AND ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE. THE CATALYST CONTAINING "12.5% AT.NI" (NI IN METAL ATOMS %) SHOWED EXTRAORDINARY HIGH ACTIVITY (WHICH WAS 4.3 TIMES THE ACTIVITY OF THE INDUSTRIAL CATALYSTS). THE CATALYST WITH "11.9% AT.NI" WAS ALSO VERY ACTIVE AND THE CATALYSTS WITH "16.0% AT.CR", HAD ABOUT THE SAME ACTIVITY WITH THE INDUSTRIAL ONES. THE OBSERVED HIGH ACTIVITIES CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE ELECTRONIC STRUCTURE OF THE CATIONS OF THE PROMOTERS AND TO THE DISORDERED STRUCTURE OF THE MORE ACTIVE CATALYSTS.
