Abstract
dc:descriptionTHE RESULTS OF THE PHYSICS ANALYSIS FOR THE STUDY OF CHARM ARE PRESENTED IN THIS THESIS. THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA HAVE BEEN TAKEN DURING THE RUNNING OF THE NA-14/2 PHOTOPRODUCTION EXPERIMENT AT THE SPS PARTICLE ACCELARATOR AT CERN. A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE EXISTING THEORETICAL MODELS FOR THE CHARM PHOTOPRODUCTION ISPRESENTED. CLEAR SIGNAL IS OBTAINED WITH THE BIGGEST PART OF THE BACKGROUND REJECTED BY: 1) A SYSTEM OF TWO CERENKOV COUNTERS (ONE OF WHICH DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED BY NTVA HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS LAB) AND 2) SYSTEM OF TWO DETECTORS SEARCHING FOR THE VERTEX OF THE REACTION. THE DATA ANALYSIS GAVE CLEAR SIGNALS OF THE TWO MESONS. D+ AND DS+, GIVING ALSO THE VALUS OF THEIR MASSES AND LIFETIMES. THE CHANNEL OBTAINED WAS D+ --> ΦΠ+ AND DS+ --> ΦΠ+.
