ΠΑΡΑΓΩΓΗ ΝΕΩΝ ΑΚΡΙΒΩΝ ΛΥΣΕΩΝ ΤΩΝ ΕΞΙΣΩΣΕΩΝ ΤΟΥ EINSTEIN ΜΕ ΤΗ ΜΕΘΟΔΟ ΤΗΣ ΑΝΤΙΣΤΡΟΦΗΣ ΣΚΕΔΑΣΗΣ ΤΩΝ BELINSKY-ZAKHAROV
Abstract
dc:descriptionTHE INVERSE SCATTERING METHOD OF BELINSKY-ZAKHAROV (BZ) IS USED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW EXACT SOLUTIONS OF THE EINSTEIN EQUATIONS. THIS METHOD IS APPLIED TO SPACETIMES POSSESING TWO COMMUTING (NON-NULL) KILLING VECTORS. THE BZ METHODIS PRESENTED IN A VERY USEFUL FORM IN THE CASE WHERE THE SEED METRIC IS DIAGONAL AND ALLOWS FOR THE EASY GENERATION OF EXACT SELECTIONS EVEN IN THE CASE OF "DOUBLE POLE" WHERE THE INITIAL BZ METHOD CAN NOT BE APPLIED. ALOT OF NEW SOLUTIONS ARE THUS GENERATED AND ARE PHYSICALLY INTERPRETED AS MODELS OF COSMIC STRINGS IN THE ENVIRONMENT OF CYLINDRICAL WAVES, AS ROTATING BOUNDER SOURCES AS COSMOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS AND AS MODELS FOR ONE INTERACTION REGIONS RESULTING AFTER THE COLLISION OF PLANE GRAVITATIONAL WAVES.
