MATING BEGAN THE SECOND DAY AFTER EMERGENCE AND OVIPOSITION ONE DAY LATER. FEMALES LAID ON THE AVERAGE 79,1 EGGS AND THE MEAN FERTILITY WAS 90,5%. THE FLY WAS SUCCESSFULLY REARED FOR UP TO 2 GENERATIONS ON AN ARTIFICIAL DIET. SOME BIOLOGICAL DATA OF ADULTS REARED FROM THAT DIET ARE GIVEN.
