ΣΚΕΔΑΣΗ ΘΕΡΜΟΕΛΑΣΤΙΚΩΝ ΚΥΜΑΤΩΝ ΣΕ ΣΥΝΘΕΤΑ ΥΛΙΚΑ ΚΑΙ ΠΡΟΣΔΙΟΡΙΣΜΟΣ ΤΩΝ ΘΕΡΜΟΜΗΧΑΝΙΚΩΝ ΤΟΥΣ ΙΔΙΟΤΗΤΩΝ
Abstract
dc:descriptionA PLANE THERMOELASTIC WAVE, PROPAGATING IN AN ISOTROPIC AND HOMOGENEOUS MEDIUM IN THE ABSENCE OF BODY FORCES AND HEAT SOURCES, IS SCATTERED BY A SMOOTH, CONVEX AND BOUNDED THREE- DIMENSIONAL OBSTACLE, WHICH DOESN'T PROPAGATE WAVES IN IT.FIRST IS GIVING THE BIOT SYSTEM OF EQUATIONS WITH THE APPROPRIATE BOUNDARY CONDITIONS AND THE KUPRADZE'S RADIATION CONDITIONS, WHICH THE SCATTERED FIELD HOLDS AT INFINITY. ALSO IS GIVING THE INTEGRAL REPRESENTATION OF THE PROBLEM. VIA ASYMPTOTIC ANALYSIS OF THESE INTEGRAL REPRESENTATIONS, NORMALIZED SPHERICAL SCATTERING AMPLITUDES ARE INTRODUCED FOR THE DISPLACEMENT AS WELL AS THE TEMPERATURE FIELD. THE THERMOELASTIC SCATTERING CROSS SECTIONS ARE ALSO INTRODUCED. USINGTHE LOW-FREQUENCY EXPANSION, THE SCATTERING PROBLEM IS REDUCED TO A SEQUENCE OF PROBLEMS IN THERMAL STRESSES. EXPLICIT CLOSED FORM SOLUTION FOR THE REVOTH ORDER APPROXIMATION IS OBTAINED FOR THE CASE OF A SPHERICAL SCATTERER WITH SPECIFIC BOUNDARY CONDITIONS. A NEW METHOD FOR THE EVALUATION OF DYNAMIC THERMOMECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF A PARTICULATE COMPOSITE IS PROPOSED AND AN APPLICATION FOR APARTICULATE COMPOSITE WITH RIGID, THERMAL INSULATED SPHERICAL INCLUSIONS IS INCLUDED.
