IN ORDER TO ASSESS THE TOXICITY AND ABSORBABILITY OF THIS HEMOSTATIC AGENT, WE HAVE PERFORMED EXPERIMENTS IN 12 DOGS, AND IN THREE BONY REGIONS. 1) IN MAXILLARY TOOTH SOCKETS AFTER EXTRACTION OF SECOND PREMOLARS, 2) IN EXPERIMENTAL CAVITIES IN MANDIBLE, 3) IN THE FEMUR. AFTER THE IMPLANTATION THE DOGS WERE KILLED IN 7, 15, 30, 60 AND 90 DAYS. THE STUDY OF THE HISTOLOGICAL SPECIMENS AND THE FOLLOW UP OF THE GAUZE INTERFERES WITHBONE HEALING.
