ΣΥΓΚΡΙΤΙΚΗ ΜΕΛΕΤΗ ΤΟΥ ΕΡΠΥΣΜΟΥ ΜΕΤΑΞΥ ΧΗΜΙΚΩΣ ΠΟΛΥΜΕΡΙΖΟΜΕΝΩΝ ΚΑΙ ΦΩΤΟΠΟΛΥΜΕΡΙΖΟΜΕΝΩΝ ΣΥΝΘΕΤΩΝ ΕΜΦΡΑΚΤΙΚΩΝ ΡΗΤΙΝΩΝ
Abstract
dc:descriptionTHE CREEP OF MICROSPECIMENS OF THREE CHEMICAL INITIATED AND THREE PHOTO INITIATED COMPOSITE RESINS WAS STUDIED USING A TORTIONAL CREEP APPARATUS IN A STATIC METHOD. THE ABOVE MATERIALS IN PAIRS HAVE THE SAME CHEMICAL COMPOSITION AND FILLER CONTENT AND DIFFER ONLY IN THE MANNER OF POLYMERIZATION. TWENTY FOUR CYLINDRICAL MICROSPECIMENS 0,85 MM IN DIAMETER AND 18 MM IN LENGTH WERE PREPARED AND REMAINED 24 HOURS IN DISTRILLED WATER AT 37 C BEFORE TESTING. SMALL SHEAR STRESSES BELOW THE MATERIALS' PROPORTIONAL LIMITS WERE MAINTAINED FOR 3 H AND RECOVERY WAS MONITORED FOR 30 H. THE STRESSES UTILIZED WERE 0.94.10-4 N.M, 1,48.10-4 N.M, 2,10.10-4 N.M. CREEP CURVES WERE OBTAINED AT 37 C AND THE ABOVE FOUR TORQUELEVELS. SHEAR MODULI OF THE MATERIALS WERE CALCULATED AS WELL, BY THE STRAINS OF TEN SECONDS. - ALL THE STUDIED COMPOSITES DID NOT RECOVER THEIR ORIGINAL SHAPE AFTER 50 HOURS AFTER THE STRESS WAS REMOVED. - SHEAR MODULI, CREEP BEHAVIOURAND RESIDUAL STRAINS OF COMPOSITES DEPEND ON THE DEGREE OF POLYMERIZATION OF ORGANIC MATRIX BESIDES THE FILLER CONTENT, COMPOSITION AND SIZE OF FILLER. - THEPHOTOINITIATED MATERIALS HAD THE LOWEST MODULI AND THE GREATEST CREEP AND DEFORMATIONS THAN THE SIMILAR SELF CURING MATERIALS. - THE MATERIALS MODULI VALUES WERE NOT IN AGREEMENT WITH THEIR RESIDUAL STRAINS. - ALL THE EXAMINED COMPOSITES EXHIBITED LINEAR VISCOELASTIC BEHAVIOR AT LOW STRESSES. IT HAS SHOWED THAT THE MANNER OF POLYMERIZATION OF COMPOSITE RESINS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THEIR CREEP BEHAVIOR.
