ΔΟΜΗ ΚΑΙ ΔΙΑΒΡΩΤΙΚΗ ΣΥΜΠΕΡΙΦΟΡΑ ΚΡΑΜΑΤΩΝ ΑΛΟΥΜΙΝΙΟΥ-ΧΑΛΚΟΥ-ΜΑΓΓΑΝΙΟΥ ΓΡΗΓΟΡΑ ΣΤΕΡΕΟΠΟΙΗΜΕΝΩΝ
Abstract
dc:descriptionAL-4.5 NT% CU-2.0 NT% MN ALLOY SPECIMENS WAS SOLIDIFIED AT VARIOUS COOLING RATES. A SET OF THESE ALLOYS WAS HEAT-TREATED. THE RESULTING MICROSTRUCTURES WERE STUDIED BY OPTICAL MICROSCOPY, TRANSMISSION AND SCANNING TRANSMISSION ELECTRON MICROSCOPIES AND X-RAY DIFFRACTION ANALYSIS. THE EQUILIBRIUM PHASES, AL6MN AND AL2CU FOUND IN THE CONVENTIONALLY SOLIDIFIED ALLOYS WERE NOT OBSERVED IN THE RAPIDLY SOLIDIFIED (AS-SPUN) ALLOY. INSTEAD THE TERNARY COMPOUND AL2OCU2MN3 AND A-AL SOLID SOLUTION WERE EXCLUSIVELY PRESENT. THE STABILITY OF THE AL-4.5 NT% CU-2.0 NT% MN SUPERSATURATED SOLID SOLUTIONS WAS INVESTIGATED BY ISOCHRONAL AND ISOTHERMAL STUDIES OF THE VARIATION OF THEIR LATTICE PARAMETER. THE SUPERSATURATED SOLID SOLUTION WAS STABLE UP TO 175 C AND THE ACTIVATION ENERGY FOR THE DECOMPOSITION OF THE SUPERSATURATED SOLID SOLUTION WAS CALCULATED AS 30 KCAL/MOLE. THE MORPHOLOGICAL AND KINETIC NATURE OF CORROSION OF THE CONVENTIONALLY AND RAPIDLY SOLIDIFIED AL-4.5 NT% CU-2.0 NT% MN ALLOYS WERE INVESTIGATED IN AQUEOUS 3.5NT% NACL. CORROSION CAN BE DESCRIBED BY TWO ANODIC REACTIONS. THE FIRST REPRESENTS CORROSION OF THE INTERMETALLIC PHASES WHILE THE SECOND CORROSION OF THE A-AL SOLID SOLUTIONS.
