INADULTS THE PREVALENCE OF ANTI-B ANTIBODIES RANGED FROM 53 TO 71,4% IN THE VARIOUS GROUPS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE MEDICAL STAFF (N 116 WHERE IT WAS FOUND TO BE UNEXPECTEDLY LOW (21,5%). THERE WAS NO SEX DIFFERENCE (P > 0.1), EXCEPT IN MOTHERS WHOSE CHILDREN HAD MENINGITIS OF UNKNOWN AETIOLOGY, THE PREVALENCE BEING HIGHER COMPARED TO THEIR HUSBANDS (P < 0,001).
