ΗΛΕΚΤΡΟΦΟΡΗΤΙΚΗ ΠΟΙΚΙΛΟΤΗΤΑ ΣΤΙΣ ΕΣΤΕΡΑΣΕΣ, ΥΠΕΡΟΞΕΙΔΑΣΕΣ ΚΑΙ ΟΞΙΝΕΣ ΦΩΣΦΑΤΑΣΕΣΣΕ ΜΕΡΙΚΑ ΑΥΤΟΦΥΗ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ ΕΙΔΗ ΤΩΝ ΓΕΝΩΝ HORDEUM ΚΑΙ ΤΑΕΝΙATHERUM
Abstract
dc:descriptionHORIZONTAL STARCH GEL ELECTROPHORESIS HAS BEEN APPLIED TO THE STUDY ESTERASES PEROXIDASE AND ACID PHOSPHATASE PATTERNS IN SEVEN TAXA, NAMELY HORDEUM DIPLOIDS (2N=14) (H. MARINUM SUBSP. LEPORINUM) AND TAENIATHERUM (2N=14) (T. CAPUT-MEDUSAE AND T. CAPUT-MEDUSAE I) IN ORDER TO ELUCIDATE THEIR PHYLOGENETIC RELATIONSHIPS. ON THE BASIS OF OUR EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS THE SEVEN TAXA MAY BE PLACED IN THE FOLLOWING THREE GROUPS; (1) DIPLOID HORDEUM (H. MARINUM, H. MARINUM I, H. HUSTRIX); (2) TETRAPLOID HORDEUM (H. BULBOSUM, H. MURINUM SUBSP. LEPORINUM);(3) TAENIATHERUM (T. CAPUT-MEDUSAE, T. CAPUT-MEDUSAE I). ESTERASE PEROXIDASEAND ACID PHOSPHATASE PATTERNS OF THE DIPLOID HORDEUM TAXA ARE VERY SIMILAR SUGGESTING THEIR CLOSE PHYLOGENETIC RELATIONSHIP; THE SAME IS TRUE FOR THE TAXA OF THE GENUS TAENIATHERUM. THE TAXA OF THE TAENIATHERUM GROUP COMPARED WITH THE DIPLOID HORDEUM AND THE TETRAPLOID HORDEUM SHOW A LOWER DEGREE OF PHYLOGENETIC RELATIONSHIP AND SEEM TO BE EQUALLY DISTANT FROM THEM. THE TETRAPLOID HORDEUM GROUP THAN WITH THE TAENIATHERUM GROUP. THESE RESULTS CONFIRM THAT THE GENUS TAENIATHERUM, PREVIOUSLY CONSIDERED AS PART OF THE GENUS HORDEUM, SHOULD BE REGARDED AS A SEPARATE GENUS. MOREOVER THE INFLUENCE OF INCREASING CONCENTRATIONS OF ORGANOPHOSPHORUS INHIBITOR DIBROM (DIMETHYL-1,2-DIBROMO-2,2- DICHLOROETHYL PHOSPHATE) ON MULTIPLE FORMS OF SHOOT ESTERASES OF HORDEUM SPECIES, IN VITRO, AS WELL AS THE EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT DIBROM CONCENTRATIONS ON SEED GERMINATION, SHOOT AND ROOT GROWTH OF H. MURINUM SUBSP. LEPORINUM WAS STUDIED. IT WAS FOUND THAT DIBROM IS AN ESSENTIAL INHIBITOR FOR ESTERASES. SEED GERMINATION SHOOT AND ROOT GROWTH SHOWED A NEGATIVE CORRELATION TO INCREASING CONCENTRATION OF DIBROM.
