Abstract
dc:description.abstractIn 1997 LEP reached energies at which the production of heavy
gauge pairs of bosons was possible. Over 650 pb-1 of
data have been analysed at centre-of-mass energies between 183 and 209 GeV.
Four-fermion final states stemming from decays of the Zgamma* into

m q ar{q}l+l-, where l stands for electrons or muons, has been investigated. Cross-sections have been calculated for all centre-of-mass energies and compared to those expected from Monte Carlo predictions.
ZZ decays into
m q ar{q}l+l-, where l stands for
electrons, muons or taus, were investigated as well. In this analysis, mass windows have been applied around the Z mass.
Cross-sections were calculated for all centre-of-mass energies, taking into
account this analysis as well as all other detectable final states, i.e. the
entirely leptonic, hadronic and $
m qoverline{q}
unu$ channels.
Limits on anomalous couplings have been calculated using the ZZ final state
decay products, from changes in the total cross-section for

m e+e-
ightarrow ZZ and changes in the distribution of the
Z production angles.
