Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe production of ZZ -> qqll events has been studied with the OPAL
detector at LEP. The analysis is based on 440 pb^-1 of data
recorded at six different centre-of-mass energies between 183 GeV and
202 GeV in the years 1997 to 1999. For each possible final state
(l = e, mu, tau) a selection has been developed. Final
states with and without bbbar have also been separated. The
results are used to determine the ZZ production cross section. Using
a more general analysis, four fermion events have been selected without
making any special requirements concerning the invariant masses of
the fermion pairs. Comparisions with Standard Model predictions have been
performed. The ZZ production cross section is also determined after
combining the results of the ZZ -> qqll and ZZ -> bbll
selections with the results of other ZZ final states. The
measurements, along with the angular distribution of the observed
events, are used to extract limits on anomalous neutral current triple
gauge couplings.
