Four subjects were tested over the course of their rowing season for somatic and cognitive anxiety, self-confidence, HR, and RPE in three different 2000 meter racing conditions: indoor ergometer, on-water racing, and on-water practice. There was no correlation between HR and RPE, and only maximum HR showed a difference between trial types.
