Nonlinear Analysis of Unsymmetric Laminates under Cylindrical Bending
Abstract
dc:description.abstract<p>Nonlinear analysis of unsymmetric composite long, narrow laminates under cylindrical bending is studied. The nonlinear governing equations are obtained to analyze the cylindrical bending of arbitrary laminates. The <em>von-Karman</em> type geometrical nonlinearity is incorporated in the governing equation. The shear effect between lamina is further considered in the governing equation. The solution is obtained for different boundary conditions. The results of arbitrary angle-plies are discussed. Unidirectional prepreg graphite-epoxy is considered for numerical results.</p>
