One such concern speaks to quality of mental involvement as authority roles change. This modification of cerebral involvement may have an effect on performance during critical system failures. The purpose of this research has been to investigate whether specialized EEG biofeedback training might have an ameliorating effect on reducing the vigilance decrement.
